Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will organise an exclusive exhibition on Wednesday in the Parliament premises to showcase defense and technology products developed indigenously.
The event will be inaugurated by Speaker of Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan on August 3, would be held in Parliament Library Building.
The Arjun main battle tank has the capacity of four-man crew: commander, gunner, loader and driver. It has a 120 mm main rifled gun with indigenously developed armour-piercing fin-stabilized discarding-sabot ammunition, one PKT 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun, and a NSVT 12.7 mm machine gun.
Brahmos is a short-range ramjet supersonic cruise missile; it can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or land. The name BrahMos formed from the names of two rivers, the Brahmaputra of India and the Moskva of Russia.
Airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) system is an airborne radar picket system made to detect aircraft, ships and vehicles at long ranges and perform command and control of the battle space in an air engagement by directing fighter and attack aircraft strikes.
Tejas is India's first indigenous LCA. It is a result of several years of design and development work by Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and HAL. It is all set to replace the MiG-21 series.
