EAM Sushma Swaraj to attend UNGA meets Ivanka Trump Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and other world leaders
India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj arrived in New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meeting. Swaraj on Monday met Ivanka Trump and discussed the issue of women empowerment as well as her forthcoming visit to India. Besides this Swaraj also met Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and her Tunisian counterpart Khemaies Jhinaoui.

EAM Sushma Swaraj met Foreign Minister of Denmark Anders Samuelsen.
The meeting with Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay is Swaraj’s first with India’s neighbouring country, gains significance in view of the recent Doklam standoff with China.
EAM Sushma Swaraj on Monday also met Foreign Minister of Bahrain Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa on sidelines of UNGA.
