Hamari Sansad Sammelan: Session 6 – Narendra Singh Tomar talks about PM Modi’s plan to tackle farm distress
At session 6 of News Nation’s prestigious Hamari Sansad Sammelan organised in New Delhi, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar talked about the roadmap of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision on doubling farmer’s income by 2022.
Tomar, a three-time MP who was made to the Union Cabinet for the second time, has come a long way in politics after starting as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) youth wing leader in the early 80s.
It was Tomar who conducted the ceremony in the Central Hall of Parliament when Narendra Modi was unanimously elected by the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) constituent parties as their leader.
Speaking during the News Nation’s Hamari Sansad Sammelan, Narendra Singh Tomar said that PM Modi delivered what he promised.
Talking about the prevalent agriculture conditions, Tomar said, ‘’Government working best to overcome farmer distress.’’ He added, ‘’ Farmers need to understand the climate conditions.’’
