In Pics: National capital or Kashmir? Thick blanket of hails covers Delhi-NCR streets
Heavy rains and hailstorm accompanied by strong winds lashed the national capital region on Thursday and brought the mercury down by four to five notches. The minimum temperature settled at 15 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season's average and the maximum temperature was recorded at 19.1 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season's average. Delhi recorded 3.2 mm rainfall till 5.30 pm with humidity level oscillating between 100 and 89 per cent. Excited people took to social media to share pictures of roads covered with hail. The weatherman has forecast shallow to moderate fog on Friday morning with clear skies. The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 19 and 10 degrees Celsius respectively.

Taking to Twitter people started sharing a slew of mind-boggling video clips and photographs, making #DelhiRains and #Hailstorm trending hashtags on the micro-blogging site. The pictures show the Delhiites enjoying on the NCR streets, covered with a thick blanket of hails.
