It was Paolo who was missing his much favourite food pizza since past 100 days and NASA's Kirk Shireman, the manager of the ISS program had made all possible arrangements in order to throw a grand bash for Nespoli. Nespoli is all set to land in Kazakhstan on December 14.
Paolo and party further took to social media sites and shared some of those breath-taking moments from their out of the ordinary, exciting, and floating pizza party over the weekend.
At present the batch is on a commercial supply ship and pulled out the flatbread, tomato sauce, cheese, pepperoni, olives, olive oil, anchovy paste and pesto in order to celebrate the first ever cosmic pizza party with much fervour and zeal.
Apart from Nespoli, NASA's Randy Bresnik shared his joy on Twitter while letting those floating pies spin around in microgravity for fun. They used scissors to slice the pies.
According to the crew: they "Had a blast channeling our inner chef by building tasty pizzas for movie night."
After craving for his much-loved pizza slices for past 100 days, Paolo Nespoli finally declared the pizza 'unexpectedly delicious'.
