Ramzan 2017 to begin from Sunday celebration of this holy festival at a glance
The Islamic month of fasting, Ramzan, will commence from Sunday as the crescent moon could not be sighted on Friday, said spokesperson of Delhi's Jama Masjid.
Ahead of the Ramzan, an annual helpline number for the month run by Aishbagh Eidgah under Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahli was also launched on Monday became functional from May 25.
Questions related to Ramzan by people across the globe will be received and answered through phone and social media platforms by clerics from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Ramzan also called as Ramadan is considered the holiest month of the entire year by Muslims. It lasts for 29 to 30 days depending on the sighting of the crescent moon.
Ramazan is regarded as one of the five pillars of Islam.
