Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar on Friday became only the 6th Indian cricketer to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. Sachin, hailed as God of Cricket, was given the honour alongside South African pace legend Allan Donald and Australian woman cricketer Cathryn Fitzpatrick. Former Team India captain Rahul Dravid was the fifth Indian cricketer to be inducted into the International Cricket Council (ICC) Hall of Fame. He was given the honour by the ICC in July 2018 along with former Australian captain Ricky Ponting and retired England woman wicketkeeper-batter Claire Taylor.

In February 2015, the 48-year-old legendary Indian spinner Anil Kumble was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. Kumble became only the fourth Indian cricketer at that time to be inducted into ICC Hall of Fame.

Bishan Singh Bedi was among the first three Indian cricketers who were inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in its inaugural year in 2019.

Sunil Gavaskar, the original little master, was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2009. This was the inaugural year of the ICC Hall of Fame and Gavaskar, regarded as the man who brought a revolution in Test cricket, was an obvious choice.

Kapil Dev, regarded as the best all-rounder India have ever produced, was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame along with Sunil Gavaskar and Bishan Singh Bedi in 2009. Kapil Dev had led the Indian team to its first ever World Cup win in 1983.
