PM Modi meets Indian womens cricket team, and he has a message for each player
Prime Minister on Thursday hosted Indian Women's cricket team players. The players who finished runners up in the recently concluded World Cup presented a cricket bat to PM. After the meeting Modi tweeted, "had a wonderful interaction with the Indian cricket team that took part in the women's cricket world cup."
Delighted to meet the proud skipper of a proud team, Mithali Raj. Congratulated her for her leadership and game, PM Modi said in his tweet.
This remarkable player overcame an injury & played the WC. Her innings against England at Derby was stupendous, Modi tweeted after meeting with Smriti Mandhana.
Terming Harmanpreet Kaur a “talented†player Modi congratulated her for her memorable innings against Australia & wished her the best for the future.
Modi hailed Goswami's bowling skills and said she is an international star. "Jhulan Goswami is renowned not only in India but across the world for her bowling. Had a very good interaction with her today(Thursday)," PM tweeted.
