World Badminton Championships PV Sindhus route to final of tournament

India's top notch shuttler PV Sindhu displayed a majestic performance as she reached the final of the World Badminton Championships after thrashing her opponent, Chen Yufei 21-13, 21-10 in Glasgow on Sunday. Sindhu dominated the game from the beginning and was ruthless throughout the semi-final match. With this victory, she has however assured the country of a silver medal. She has won two bronze medals at the World Championships in 2013 and 2014, but she will surely be looking to clinch the gold this time around.

Sindhu's journey in BWF World Championships has been nothing short of a fairy-tale. The Rio Olympic silver medalist had earlier defeated Chinese shuttler Sun Yu to seal a place in the semifinal of the women’s singles event. Sindhu had trounced her Chinese opponent 21-14, 21-9 to display her dominance in the game.

In a tightly fought contest, the ace shuttler had defeated Hong Kong's Cheung Ngan Yi 19-21, 23-21, 21-17 to enter quarter finals of World Badminton Championships.

Sindhu came from behind to win the second game after losing the first one. The third and deciding game was also a close one. However, once she conquered the quarter-finals, she has been completely unstoppable.

PV Sindhu had notched up a 21-16, 21-14 victory over Korea's Kim Hyo Min to progress to the pre-quarterfinals of the women's singles competition of the World Badmintion Championships.
