Google's new Android N: Top 5 key features you need to know
One of the key features of Android N remains its split-screen. Your device screen will show two different apps simultaneously and video apps will support picture-in-picture. The user then can easily drag the dividing line separating the two, in order to make one app larger and the other smaller. Though we have already seen such feature in Samsungs’ high-end phones and tablets. This feature of split-screen is seen as one of the innovative strategies now being taken up actively by tech giants.
The much needed night mode is here in Android N. Users will now be able to control System UI brightness in closed dark environment so that there will less strain on the eyes.
This feature allows you to open multiple apps and still operate on all apps in the same display frame, without having to switch in between. As Android N OS is designed to cater the needs of the users intuitively. For example, users can type texts, while selecting songs on a music app in the same display frame.
This has been introduced as the Direct reply feature. Now you will be able to reply directly from notifications and the interface will let you see more app information than what you did previously. “When a user replies via keyboard, the system attaches the text response to the intent you had specified for the notification action and sends the intent to your handheld app,†said Google.
Android N comes with the ability to record and playback content from Android TV input services via new recording APIs.
