'Adopt the Planet': Adopt a piece of Earth with NASA's new campaign
NASA Invites People Around The World To Celebrate Earth Day 2017 By Virtually 'adopting' Individual Pieces Of Earth As Seen From Space.
NASA in an effort for commemorative jollification of Earth Day, has launched a new campaign “Adopt the Planet” that people to virtually adopt a piece of Earth as seen from space.Interested individuals can enter their coordinates for the location they want to adopt and learn more about the piece of land or sea that they have adopted.Those signing up this initiative will get an e-certificate in their name and recieve the details from NASA’s vaults including satellite imagery of the piece of land or sea that they have “adopted.”

Users can take photos, share social media posts and print out pictures of their locations.The campaign has earmarked 64,000 pieces to be assigned randomly to those who sign on with no legal entitlement to the adoption. In fact, once all the 64,000 patches are taken, the system reassigns them to new participants, so everyone who wants to participate will be able to.The goal is to have the entire planet adopted by Earth Day, April 22.
