In A Newly Released Video Astronauts Tim Peake And Scott Kelly Can Be Seen Fighting The Virtual Aliens Aboard The International Space Station (ISS).
In a newly released video astronauts Tim Peake and Scott Kelly can be seen fighting the virtual aliens aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
The footage shared by the European Space Agency shows them zapping aliens in a game of Space Invaders. The game was filmed before Captain Kelly touched down back to earth earlier this month after spending a year in space.
According to ESA, the project is designed to “aid astronauts in their daily routine by providing them with additional information and allowing mission control to survey them and provide assistance".
It also said special effects were added to the video after filming, pointing out ‘no astronaut (or aliens) were harmed in the making of this video’.
The ‘Project Sidekick’ device could help astronauts carry out their work more efficiently by overlaying information and allowing mission control to virtually ‘look over their shoulder’ as space crew members complete various tasks.
Scott Kelly has successfully completed his one year in space and landed back to earth with lots of information and body changes that will help scientists to study what exactly happens to human body when left in space for longer durations.
