GST on Jet Fuel? Civil Aviation and Revenue secretaries to hold meeting today

The Ministry of Civil Aviation Secretary on Tuesday will meet the Revenue Secretary to discuss the issue of bringing aviation turbine fuel (ATF) or jet fuel under the Goods and Service Tax (GST) regime. According to reports, the ministry is in talks to bring the Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) under the GST regime in order to benefit the customers. The decision to bring the ATF under GST regime will decrease the airfare in near future. All petroleum products are currently outside the territory of the GST.
