The Supreme Court allowed Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to recover dues worth Rs. 1.33 lakh crore from telecom companies. The top court rejected telecom companies' appeal against the government's definition of adjusted gross revenue (AGR). Reacting to the top court's order, senior journalist Manoj Gairola says had the decision come 20 years ago, it would have saved taxpayers' money. Watch a report on the telecom issue.
