2 terrorists killed in encounter with security forces in Shopian

Two terrorists were killed on Saturday morning in an encounter with security forces in Gahand area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district. Indian Army’s 34 RR and SOG Shopian had launched a cordon and search operation after specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area. “As the cordon was tightened, the terrorists fired at the forces, triggering a fierce gunfight in which four ultras were neutralised,†a police official said. The identity of the terrorists is yet to be ascertained.
