Army increases colonel-rank officers at LoC after aggression from Pak

As tension continues along the border due to continuous unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan, Indian Army sent more colonel-rank officers to lead the force from the front at the forward areas. The Army has identified 229 young combat-worthy officers in its headquarter after carrying out a detailed study on re-organisation of Army Headquarters that was started in June 2018 on direction by Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat.
