The temple town of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh turned into a fortress with multiple security layers ahead of Vishva Hindu Parishad's (VHP) 'Dharam Sabha' to push for the construction of a grand temple of Lord Ram on the ruins of a 16th-century mosque in the holy city. The organisers of the Dharma Sabha claimed that over 3 lakh devotees of Lord Rama are likely to gather for the largest congregation of Hindus since December 6, 1992, when the Babri Mosque was demolished. The Dharma Sabha of the VHP will be held at Bade Bhakt Mal Ki Baghia near the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas workshop.
