Congress and Left parties implement Bharat Bandh on Monday

Bharat bandh or nationwide shutdown on Monday, called by the Congress party and the Left parties separately, to protest against the spiraling fuel prices for days and the record depreciation of Indian Rupee, affected normal life in several parts of the country. Many schools and colleges across the country remained closed and state beefed up security to prevent the violent situation in the wake of the shutdown.
