Delhi government convenes meeting on locust crisis, watch video

Delhi has been put on alert, after swarms of desert locusts infested Gujarat, Maharashtra, UP and Madhya Pradesh. The most recent infestation was recorded in Rajasthan’s Jaipur. Entomologists warn, if wind direction and speed is favourable then the locust swarms could be headed towards the capital city. Despite being an urban setting, the impact on Delhi could be severe as 22 per cent of its #IED #locustsattack #Rajasthan
