Delhi To Have Free Wifi, First Phase Inauguration On Dec 16: Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday announced free Wi-Fi for the national capital. This was one of the key poll promises of the Aam Aadmi Party government ahead of the Assembly polls in 2015. Kejriwal while announcing the scheme said, “Of the 11,000 WiFi hotspots, 4,000 will be at bus-stops, while the remaining 7,000 across various markets of Delhi.” Subsequently, every week 500 wifi hotspots will be added, and within 6 months these 11,000 hotspots will be set up, he said.
