India has today marked 44th Anniversary of ‘Emergency’. PM Modi tweeted a video clip highlighting the sufferings during the Emergency. The Emergency was imposed on June 25, 1975. With the declaration of the Emergency, a massive operation was started to jail all Opposition leaders across the states. The media was totally censored.
