Farmer outfits observe Karnataka bandh over Mahadayi river dispute with Goa, normal life affected

Several farmer outfits in Karnataka on Thursday called for a state-wide bandh disrupting the normal life across different parts of the state. Many schools, colleges and offices in Karnataka were shut due to the bandh. The pro-Kannada groups have demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the inter-state Mahadayi river water dispute with Goa. Police have taken the protesters into custody.
