Farmers continue nationwide protest on second day of Kisan Avkash; vegetable prices record high

Scores of agitated farmers dumped vegetables, milk and other farm produce on roads and blocked supplies to cities in several states on Saturday as they intensified their 10-day-long nationwide protest on the second day of Kishan Avkash. The Rashtriya Kishan Mahasangh along with 130 other farmers' organisations, on Friday, started the nationwide protest against Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government to press their demands, including loan waiver and right price for crops.
