Five injured as Mumbai bridge collapses, probe ordered

A total of five people were injured and train services were hit when a part of road over bridge (ROB) across the railway track at Andheri collapsed on the tracks between Andheri and Vile Parle stations on the suburban line. The ROB was among the eight bridges that required repair, as per the latest yearly audit conducted by the Railways. NDRF, firemen and Mumbai police conducted rescue operations. Seven tow vehicles, five excavators and two cranes were deployed to help in the rescue operations and clearing of the debris.
