The first phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections saw sixty eight per cent voter turnout on the 89 seats of Saurashtra and South Gujarat, as per the Election Commission of India. said. The last elections in 2012 saw a turnout of 71.32 per cent for the 182 member Assembly.
