Heavy rain slows down Mumbai's pace on Monday morning

Incessant rains hit normal life in Mumbai and water accumulation caused traffic jams in the metropolitan city on Monday. Malad received the highest amount of rainfall at 110.80 mm while Colaba recorded 90 mm and Santacruz 195 mm of rain at 5.30 am on Monday, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD issued a warning of “heavy to very heavy†rains in Mumbai over the next few days as monsoon revived again on Sunday.
