Heavy rains paralyse life in Mumbai and Hyderabad

Incessant rains have paralysed life in Mumbai and Hyderabad even as India Meteorological Department predicts that heavy showers will continue for at least next 24 hours. In Telangana, a holiday has been declared for all educational institutional for Friday and Saturday in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts due to heavy rains. The authorities have closed down Mumbai-Goa highway following water-logging caused by heavy rains in coastal Konkan region, traffic will be diverted.
