Himachal Pradesh: 29 students die after school bus falls into gorge in Kangra

At least 29 students died after a bus they were traveling in fell into a deep gorge in Himachal Pradesh’s Nurpur district in Kangra on Monday evening. Superintendent of Nurpur district Santosh Patial confirmed the development. According to local sources, around 29 school children were killed in the accident, along with two school teachers and the bus driver. The fatal accident occurred near Gurchal village on Nurpur-Chamba road. According to police officials, all the students boarded in the bus were from Ram Singh Pathania Memorial School. The bus was on its way to drop the children home after the school closed at 3 pm.
