13 April 1919 the day when one of the worst political crimes of the 20th century was committed. This was the day of Baisakhi when a crowd of non-violent protesters had gathered in the Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, Punjab oblivious of the martial law that had been imposed then. They were fired upon by troops of the British Indian Army and this brutal massacre is known as Jallianwala Bagh massacre in the history.
