Janmashtami 2018: Devotees visit temples of Mathura

Lakhs of devotees reached the temple town of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh for Janmashtami celebrations. Devotees gathered around Vrindavan in Govardhan and Barsana for the celebrations. At Radha Raman temple, Radha Damodar temple and Shah Ji Temple Janmashtami was celebrated during the day. In the evening, the main programme would be organised at Bhagwat Bhavan at Srikrishna Janmasthan. The temple remained open for nearly two hours past midnight to facilitate pilgrims.
