J&K: 13 killed while 17 injured after bus fell in deep gorge in Poonch

At least 13 people were killed and 17 others injured after a bus fell into a deep gorge in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. The accident took place after the passenger bus - registration number JK02W0445 – skidded off the road and fell into the gorge at Palera, 30 km away from Poonch. The accident occurred at Plera in Mandi area when the driver of the bus, coming from Loran to Poonch, lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a curve and rolled down into a 100-meter gorge, a police official said.
