Karnataka Crisis: Congress' DK Shivakumar detained in Mumbai

In the latest twist in the ongoing Karnataka political crisis, senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar was detained by the Mumbai Police on Wednesday. The minister in Karnataka government was camping outside the hotel in Powai, where the rebel lawmakers are staying. The Mumbai Police has imposed Section 144 imposed in and around the area of Hotel Renaissance. Apart from Shivakumar, Milind Deora and Sanjay Nirupam have also been detained. Shivakumar had reached Mumbai today morning and was trying to meet the rebels to diffuse the tension and convince the rebels to take back their resignations.
