Karnataka: Man lynched on suspicion of child lifting in Mandya

The incident happened in Mandya on Wednesday when Mahesh, a resident of Hindupur in Karnataka's border with Andhra Pradesh was tryingto meet his son from her estranged wife. On Wednesday Mahesh stopped the school van and tried to forcefully take away his son. As the boy resisted, some locals noticing the commotion and Mahesh's car which had an Andhra Pradesh registration number, intervened and began beating him up, thinking that he was a child lifter
