Kaveri Yatra: Battle lines drawn between BJP, Congress in Karnataka Assembly Elections

Battle lines have been drawn for the Karnataka Assembly elections which will be conducted on May 12. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and Janta Dal (Secular) will fight in the 224-member Karnataka Assembly. All the Three political parties have warmed up for the battle in the southern state and have started campaigning aggressively. BJP had tasted success with its temple visits and Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s itinerary in the state included visits to places of religious importance. Both Rahul Gandhi and BJP Chief Amit Shah have visited several temples ahead of the elections.
