Kerala Floods: Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducts aerial survey

Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan conducted an aerial survey of the flood hit state. An immediate central assistance of Rs 100 crore has been announced for the relief works. The life in Kerala has been hit hard by the unprecedented flood following incessant rains that also triggered landslides, claiming around 325 lives. On Thursday, the torrential rains and flood claimed at least 30 lives, destroying homes, roads as the public transport collapsed in many parts of Kerala.
