Kollam temple fire: 102 dead, at least 280 injured

Over 102 people were killed and 280 injured when a major fire broke out in the Puttingal Devi Temple complex at nearby Paravoor early today when sparks emanating from a fireworks display ignited a store room filled with crackers and pyrotechnic material. BJP President Amit Shah, who was scheduled to address two rallies in Kerala today, cancelled his public events in the state in the wake of Puttingal Devi Temple fire tragedy.
