Madhya Pradesh: 21 dead, several injured after truck with marriage party falls off bridge

At least 21 people died after the mini-truck they were travelling in fell off a bridge over the Sone river in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district on Tuesday night. The vehicle plunged about 70 feet before crashing into the dry river bed, PTI reported. Reports said all the victims were part of a marriage party and that the casualties could go up as several others were still trapped inside the vehicle. A total of around 45 people were travelling in the bus when it lost control and fell off the bridge after breaking the dividers. The vehicle was coming from Singrauli district and was heading for Sidhi for the marriage.
