Mamata Banerjee takes oath as WB Chief Minister

Amid elaborate security cover on par with the Republic Day parade, Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Friday took oath as the next Chief Minister of West Bengal for the second consecutive term along with 41 party MLAs as ministers in the new cabinet in the state Assembly. Banerjee on Thursday met state Governor K N Tripathi and submitted the list of MLAs who took oath today at the gala swearing-in ceremony held on prestigious Red Road.
