Mumbai businessman gets duped of Rs 1.86 crore with help of 6 missed calls

In an unusual incident, a Mumbai-based textile businessman has been robbed of Rs 1.86 crore through SIM swapping on December 27-28. SIM swapping refers to one of the latest techniques of cyber fraud used to cheat mobile phone users, according to cyber experts. The victim has been identified as V Shah, who received six missed calls on his mobile phone between 11.44 pm and 1.58 am on December 27-28. Next day Shah found that his bank account has been overdrawn with as many as 28 transactions to almost 15 different accounts.
