Mumbai: Case Filed Against 50 For Chanting Pro-Sharjeel Imam Slogans

Mumbai Police has come down heavily on the protesters who raised slogans in favour of JNU student Sharjeel Imam, who was arrested on sedition charges. Acting on the sloganeering, the Azad Maidan Police registered a case against 50-60 people under stringent section like sedition. One of the accused has been identified as Urvashi Chudawala, associated with TISS Queer Collective and student of second-year MA in media and culture at Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS).
