Mumbai: PM Modi's electricity lost its way to Goregaon, villages still under darkness
While Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday took great pride to announce the completion of electrification of all villages in India, several villages and slums near Mumbai's Goregaon suburb are witnessing something contradictory to the statement. With electricity reaching Manipur’s Leisang village on April 30, Modi made such a statement during one of his election rallies in poll-bound Karnataka. "28th April 2018 will be remembered as a historic day in the development journey of India. Yesterday, we fulfilled a commitment due to which the lives of several Indians will be transformed forever! I am delighted that every single village of India now has access to electricity," Modi tweeted. Watch News Nation's special coverage to know more details regarding the same.
