Nation suffers as banks closed, ATMs run dry in parts of India

A slew of festivals are likely to cause more inconvenience to the public who have already been thronging ATMs to get a hold of their money on account of the ban on old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes even as the banks in several states in India remained closed on account of Gurupurab.
