New Delhi: Air quality slips to 'very poor' category

The air quality in the national capital deteriorated and settled in the “very poor†category on Thursday morning. According to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 337 and is likely to remain in the category for the next few days. The AQI between 0 to 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 fall under the category of ‘satisfactory’, 101-200 is marked as ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and 500 and beyond is considered as ‘severe’.
