New Delhi: CM Kejriwal, Dy CM Sisodia, 11 AAP MLAs get bail in chief secretary assault case

In a huge relief for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, a Delhi court on Thursday granted bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia and 11 AAP MLAs, who were accused in an alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash on the night of February 19 at the chief minister's Civil Lines residence. All the accused were granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 except Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal. Khan and Jarwal were earlier granted bail by the Delhi High Court. The bail was granted after they appeared before the court in pursuance to summons issued to them. The court has now put up the matter for further hearing on December 7.
