News Nation Special: Adulterated sweets can spoil your Holi celebration

As the North Indians gear up to celebrate the festival of colors Holi, Uttar Pradesh Police has seized adulterated Mawa from Old Sabji Mandi area of Ghaziabad. However, the shopkeepers involved in the act could not be arrested but the Police has recovered chemicals used in the preparation of adulterated Mawa. The demand for Mawa and Paneer is high in wake of Holi festival. Seeing the high demand, some people use chemicals including urea to produce cheap but highly harmful Mawa.
