Speed News: Lahore HC bans airing anti-judiciary speeches of ex-PM Nawaz Sharif
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf termed the ban on anti-judiciary speeches of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and other Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders as a right decision. PTI Central Information Secretary Fawad Chaudhry said that the court has awakened the regulator, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regularity Authority (PEMRA) through its decision. “Institutions do not work in Pakistan which is the biggest problem. The anti-judiciary campaign launched by Sharif and his daughter is a crime in every aspect. It is the responsibility of PEMRA to work without the influence of the government,†he said, adding that it is the responsibility of the politicians to understand that humiliating campaigns against the institutions weakens the state.
