Teachers Day 2018: Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan remembered across country

Teacher's Day is marked in honour of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was born on September 5, 1888. Born into a Telugu family, Dr Radhakrishnan was an achiever and an inspiration to the youth, who was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1931. Dr Radhakrishnan was nominated eleven times for the Nobel Peace Prize. President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other leaders and personalities have tweeted their tributes to mark the occasion.
