The telegram contains the names of Malik Muhammad Khan, seventh prime minister of Pakistan, and Miyan Mumtaz Khan Daultana, a close associate of Jinnah. These two had mentioned in the telegram that Gandhi was the greatest man ever and had appealed him to break the fast.
