Unnao gang rape: 5 cops suspended after death of survivor's father

The guardian/father of the woman who tried to kill herself on Sunday alleging police inaction in a sexual exploitation case died at Unnao district hospital on Monday morning. He was allegedly roughed up by the accused BJP MLA's brother and accomplices a few days back and sustained multiple injuries. "Two police officers and four constables have been suspended and four accused of beating the rape victim's father have been arrested," said Pushpanjali Devi, Superintendent of Police (SP), Unnao, said in a statement.
