Uttar Pradesh: Man forced to carry wife's body on handcart; denied ambulance by hospital

In yet another horrific incident, a Uttar Pradesh man was forced to carry his wife's body on a handcart after being denied an ambulance by Manipuri district hospital. The 36-year-old man, later identified as Kanhaiyalal allegedly wrapped the body in sheets and carried it for 5 km to reach their home. According to district magistrate Pradeep Kumar, a probe has been ordered to ascertain the circumstances which led to such medical apathy. Kumar has also assured to take necessary action anytime soon.
